NBA Friday Night

 


Bulls at Hornets

- First competitive game I've seen in about a week

-Josh Giddey is a mess. Sloppy and out of control. Still effective somehow. 

- Miles Bridges and Zach Collins looked like the best out there. Colby White too.

- Knueppel looks legit. I questioned him being drafted so highly. Guess I was wrong.

- Miles Bridges is a bucket.

- Love listening to these Homer announcers. Thought Knueppel should have gotten not just 3 free throws, but a 4th for a flagrant for landing under the shooter. Review determined no foul. Chicago ball. Hilarious. 



Nets at Mavs

- I like Michael Porter Jr. I think he's a good player. But if he's your best player...your team's in trouble.

- Flagg cut off Davis' pass so well, the announcers thought it was on purpose. Davis and Flagg laughing about it. Flagg is becoming really fun to watch. 

Halftime. Close game. I'm Happy.

- These NBA fit walks are silly. 

- Mavs mascot is trash  at backward half-court shots

- Flagg is quite gangly. That almost dunk looked like flailing toothpicks. 

- PALMING CALL!!!!

- Mad AD is a beast.

- Bigs need to learn baby hooks. 

- Serious question. How have the Nets won a single game this year? and How are they tied at 90 with the Mavs?

- Going to get food. Hopefully back in time for the end.

- Welp, missed the end of the game.



Warriors at Wolves

- Nevermind. Blocked for some reason. Go Dubs!

Celtics at Wizards

I had a few minutes more than I thought and watched a bit of the Wizards/Celtics game (turned it on right before half-time. I must say, I really do like the Wizards roster. No huge superstars, but a lot of solid young guys and vets. Middleton and McCollum are great vets (both of whom can score) and Johnson, Saar. I like Bagley too (saw him block Maxey like 3 times in a row the other night). Again, I don't think they're going to do anything  special this year...maybe not even win 20 games...but they're a solid team that should make most games competitive at least. Thoughts on the game: - Wizards uniform. Nice throwback to the Arenas era. Hopefully without the locker room gun play.  - Why do the Celtics have so many bald players?  - Middleton needs to tuck in his shirt. Where's Chris Paul when you need him? - Good to see Sam "Xenomorph" Cassell coaching - Why is this guy on the Celtics?  - Did I say games would be close? Uhh. - 8 minutes left in the 4th. Turning...

Knicks at Toronto

  I turned this game on in the 3rd. Ugly game. The Knicks had a pretty solid lead when I turned it on but it is so sloppy. Passes are ugly, dribbling is ugly, no one can catch. There is no way a team in the East wins the Championship this year. Maybe if the Celtics get healthy, but they played like trash in last year's playoffs.  Collin Murray-Boyles was just murdered under the hoop and no foul call. If that was Luca there would have been seven flagrants and an ejection.  Holy crap! A travel was called!! Notorious B13 is nice. We love to see him on a contender. Such a boring game.  Knicks better hope Brunson doesn't get injured. Even with KAT, no Brunson = Lottery team. Brunson and Ingram are my MVPs for this game

Rockets at Mavericks

  Thoughts: - I'll never understand how professional basketball players can be fat. - Clint Capela's tip off technique is odd -Udoka reminds me of a smaller Suge Knight - There is so much travelling it's ridiculous. Can you really catch the ball, take a step or two, then dribble? -Durant looks like he's wearing hiking boots - Capela really has no skills - I'm so happy Flagg is playing aggressively. So much more fun to watch. Wish Jabari Smith played with a little more fire. - Amen Thompson is a beast...and these entry passes to Anthony Davis are trash - Reed Sheppard is ill Had to turn the game off before half-time. Final awards MVP (in order based on what I watched) 1.  Anthony Davis 2. Cooper Flagg 3. Jabari Smith Jr. Buns players of the game: 1. D'Angelo Russell 2. Dwight  Powell 3. Clint Capella
